Tips to Prepare for Your Session

Bring an Open Mind and Set an Intention

Bring an Open Mind and Set an Intention:

Approach the session with a willingness to explore new experiences and techniques. Setting a simple intention—such as relaxation, clarity, or self-connection—can help focus your practice and give you a meaningful point to reflect on after the session.

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Since breathwork involves deep breathing and physical relaxation, choose loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Being physically comfortable will help you fully engage with the breathwork practice.

Be Open to Emotions

Be Open to Emotions:

Breathwork can bring up a range of emotions—both positive and challenging. It’s normal to experience strong feelings during or after the session, such as joy, sadness, relief, or even moments of discomfort. Embracing whatever arises will help you make the most of the experience.

Expect Some Post-Session Impact

Expect Some Post-Session Impact:

The effects of breathwork may linger in the days following the session, impacting you in different ways. You might feel uplifted, energised, or emotionally lighter, while at times you may also experience feelings of vulnerability, tiredness, or deep introspection. Allow yourself to rest and process these feelings as they come up.

Stay Hydrated Before and After

Stay Hydrated Before and After:

Drink plenty of water before and after your session. Breathwork can be physically and emotionally cleansing, and staying hydrated will help support your body as you process the experience.

Inform Your Instructor of Any Concerns

Inform Your Instructor of Any Concerns:

If you have any specific concerns, such as physical limitations, anxiety, or other conditions, let your facilitator know beforehand. They can provide modifications or guidance to ensure you have a safe and supportive experience.

Create Space to Reflect Post-Session

Create Space to Reflect Post-Session:

Consider setting aside some time after your breathwork session to reflect on your experience. Journaling or meditating on what came up during the session can be a helpful way to process any thoughts, feelings, or insights that arise.
